1.4.1 – Agency Goals and Objectives 
Standard: There shall be established, measurable goals and objectives for the agency and for each organizational component within the agency. Such goals and objectives shall be directed toward accomplishing the agency mission, be reviewed periodically, and distributed to all appropriate personnel.
Suggested Evidence of Compliance: Provide the measurable goals and objectives for each organizational component, with evidence of periodic review and distribution.
COMMENT: Need: Is there evidence that the goals were distributed to staff?
RESPONSE: The Goals are developed in a synergistic approach. Site supervisors will meet and discuss issues and conditions at their park or facility to begin the process. Those comments are then brought into a management meeting that consist of executive and mid-managerial team members to massage and redevelop the proposed goal and objectives.
The Department will also solicit from all staff (anonymously) comments and suggestions for the department via staff evaluations and comment forms provided at our mandatory annual conference. Evidence is now included as EOC 17.
COMMENT: Need: Is there evidence of their periodic review and/or progress toward achieving them?
RESPONSE: Yes, agendas of Parks meetings showing review are now included as EOC 15 & 16. In addition, the Commissioner speaks about achieved goals & objectives during her speech at the Annual Conference and a copy of such speech from 2024 is now included as EOC 18.
Narrative:
PRC has established, measurable goals and objectives that drive the success of its mission.
Each division prepares goals and objectives which are reviewed and discussed in management staff meetings each year. These goals and objectives are then shared with department staff in meetings.
