7.7.1 – Building Plans and Specifications

Standard: The agency shall have on file floor plans, specifications, and/or as-built drawings for major facilities constructed since 1965. These records contain information necessary for efficient programming, quality facility maintenance and effective capital project programming. Projects funded with funds from governmental grant programs such as LAWCON and UPARR place restrictions on use and disposition.

Suggested Evidence of Compliance: Provide evidence that plans and specifications for facilities with greater than 10,000 square feet of indoor space constructed since 1965 are on file.

COMMENT: Can a screenshot of the directory maintained by DPWT be provided? (described in the narrative).
RESPONSE: This is now included as EOC 8.

COMMENT: EOC 4 and 5 – these do not appear to be plans for a building, but it is difficult to make out the details.
RESPONSE: Plans that are more clear are now included as EOC 9 & 10

COMMENT: EOC 1 and 6 – please highlight or reduce pages to those that are building plans
RESPONSE: The number of pages have been reduced for EOC 1 & 6 and are now EOC 1R & 6R

Narrative:

PRC building plans, drawings, specifications and other related documents of indoor space are archived and stored in a directory on a server maintained by the Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPWT). Dating back as the early 1920’s, PRC staff have access to these documents through the network server.

In addition, PRC has extensive files which can be viewed in person at the Administrative Offices. Current files are located in the first floor hall file cabinets with the remainder residing in the basement in the Map Room.
