6.1.4 – Leader-Directed Programs and Services
Standard: The agency shall offer leader-directed recreation opportunities that provide recreation opportunities where participant involvement is directed by a leader, including skills instruction classes. Examples include tennis, crafts, dance; synchronized swimming performance; creative dramatics for children.
Suggested Evidence of Compliance: Provide examples of how the agency provides leader- directed recreation opportunities, including a list of such opportunities.
Narrative:
PRC offers traditional leader-directed recreation and skilled instruction opportunities including children’s camps for farming, nature, basketball and golf, swimming classes for adults and children, and instruction in Zumba. The PRC Fit-Mobile provides fitness leaders who visit parks teaching the fundamentals of physical movement and activity. Tournaments for such sports as pickleball provide direction in competition.
