Narrative:

PRC provides accurate and timely transfer of internal information among staff as needed and in real-time through electronic devices which allows for flexibility when communicating with staff located at over 50 facilities.

Email is the main form of communication which also serves as a record for reference. Most staff members have personal computers or have access to a computer. Where there is limited access, printed announcements are posted at the job worksite. Email is also used for external communications with other government departments, and to staff who have this function on PRC issued cellphones. Texting amongst staff has greatly increased and provides convenience in relaying real-time information to management regarding on the ground conditions, incidents, park closings and weather related cancellations. Telephone calls still serve as a traditional way of communicating with staff.

Internal communications are managed in a variety ways including at meetings and on the Intranet. This is outlined in the PRC Internal Communications Matrix.
