9.2 – Risk Manager

Standard: A specific position within the agency shall be designated with risk management responsibility and authority to carry out the policies established for risk management.

Narrative:

The Westchester County Director of Risk Management is responsible for carrying out the risk management and insurance policies of the County, which includes PRC. The Division of Risk Management operates under the authority of County Law Department, with the Director reporting to the County Attorney. The Director manages a staff as part of performing these duties.

The PRC Associate Director of Division (Deputy Commissioner of PRC) is the liaison to the Office of Risk Management and is responsible for implementing the PRC Risk Management Plan with several staff members as outlined below:
