9.1 – Risk Management Policy
Standard: The agency shall have a policy for risk management that sets direction and gives appropriate authority for implementing operational practices and procedures that is approved by the proper authority.
Suggested Evidence of Compliance: Provide the risk management policy including indication of approval by the proper authority.
Narrative:
The Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation (PRC) Risk Management Plan seeks to identify, assess, and develop risk response strategies and manage operations in a safe, efficient manner. It is proactive as well as reactionary.
The Plan has been developed and adopted in accordance with the policy set up by the Westchester County Office of Risk Management. It is reviewed yearly and was last updated in September of 2023.
Note: The agency will be referred to as PRC throughout Standard 9.
