3.4.2 – Community Relations Plan

Standard: The agency shall have an established community relations plan that identifies and addresses community needs for all segments of its service population, which is evaluated periodically for effectiveness.

Suggested Evidence of Compliance: Provide the community relations plan and latest evaluation.

The community relations plan shall address the following:

a. Community relations policies for the agency;
b. Process and procedure for establishing contact with community organizations and other community groups;
c. Training needs for staff and community. The community relations plan and marketing plan is often included in a single document.


COMMENT: 
Document notes the last review was in October 2023, narrative indicates it is evaluated annually by the Director of Program Development II (Community Relations) and senior management. Are there meeting minutes or other EOC for the evaluation?
RESPONSE: The Director of Program Development II (Community Relations) presented the Community Relations Plan to senior management at the November 2023 management meeting and the Meeting Minutes have been added as EOC 2 November 2023 Management Meeting Minutes.

Narrative:

PRC has an established community relations plan that identifies and addresses policy, process and procedure to identify needs and promote interest in the benefits and participation in parks, recreation and conservation programs and facilities. The plan is evaluated annually by the Director of Program Development II (Community Relations) and senior management.
