1.6.1 – Administrative Policies and Procedures 
Standard: There shall be policies and procedures, encompassing administrative aspects of the organization that are kept up-to date, reviewed periodically, and made available to pertinent administrative and supervisory personnel.
Suggested Evidence of Compliance: Provide access to the agency policies and procedures, demonstrate how they are made available to personnel, and provide evidence of periodic review by the approving authority and administrators.
COMMENT: Need: Is the plan reviewed by administrators or just the Commission?
RESPONSE: Administration is synonyms with the Commission. Our Leadership model is in outlined in EOC Parks Department Organizational Chart.
COMMENT: Question: Do all employees have access to the intranet?
RESPONSE: Yes, each employee has access to the Intranet though a County issued Desktop Computer, Laptop and or Smart phone. The intranet can be defined as the county’s private network. Its primary purpose is to assist employees to securely communicate with each other, as well as to store information.
COMMENT: Question: Are staff informed if any changes are made to the manual? If so, how?
RESPONSE: Yes, all employees are made aware of the manual when changes are made. Typically, if a change is made staff are alerted to Executive memorandums via email as well as verbally at our annual staff conference. Moreover, if a change should occur at any time during the year an update manual is provided to all staff. A hard copy is also posted along with all right to know information in a central location at every facility or park.
Narrative:
The PRC Administration Manual contains administrative policies and procedures and is available on the intranet to all staff. The Commissioner has the authority to update or amend it as needed without further approval. The policies are reviewed annually with input from PRC staff and/or the County Executive’s Office.
