Narrative:

PRC involves and trains staff at all levels on risk management procedures with interaction between management, supervisors and employees to provide for safety in the workplace and for the public. This is described within the PRC Risk Management Plan: Section 104 Employee Involvement.

The County Office of Risk Management (ORM) provides standards for establishing a safe workplace, and PRC management implements those standards through its Divisions. ORM ensures that these policies and procedures are carried out allowing for PRC and ORM to act as a check and balance with this shared goal.

PRC maintains a Safety Training Matrix for required trainings which are modeled after mandated Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Public Employment Safety and Health Act (PESHA) standards. Appropriate staff receive training including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Right to Know Hazard Programs, with handouts to reinforce safety skills. Facility PPE Hazard Assessments are also completed annually.
