Standard: The agency shall have policies, procedures, or programs to educate and promote health and wellness in the community.
Suggested Evidence of Compliance: Provide the agency’s policies, procedures, or programs to educate and promote health and wellness in the community such as:
a. Physical activity;
b. Healthy food and beverage offerings;
c. Nutrition education;
d. Substance abuse prevention.
Also provide examples of implementation.
Narrative:
PRC believes that its facilities are the “best gyms” and educates its residents on the benefits of pursuing, maintaining and improving mental and physical health through specific programs. These programs are described in the PRC Recreation Program Plan: Section 7 Wellness Education.
