3.2 – Administrative Offices

Standard: The agency administrative offices shall be accessible to the public and staff. There shall be administrative, meeting and storage space, and equipment adequate to perform the agency’s functions and responsibilities.

Suggested Evidence of Compliance: Provide documentation that describes the types of office space and administrative equipment used by the agency and how access is provided to the staff and the public.

3.2 EOC 8 PRC Administrative Office Space

Narrative:

PRC Administrative Offices are located at 450 Saw Mill River Road in Ardsley, New York which is centrally situated within Westchester County for convenient public access and parking. The two-story 18,000 square foot building with a basement includes a reception area at its main entrance. The reception area leads to either an elevator or stairs to access the first and second floors. Professional public information staff greet visitors and manage incoming telephone calls.

The office space includes cubicles for non-management staff, and offices with walls and a door for management staff. Every cubicle is equipped with a computer or laptop setting that is networked to a shared printer along with telephones and individual voicemail.

The first-floor houses offices and cubicles for PRC’s administrative divisions of Parks, Recreation, Conservation, Public Information and Marketing, Planning, Information Technology (IT), Permits, and Training. The second floor houses offices and cubicles for senior management, and the administrative divisions of Finance, Golf, Human Resources, and Concessions. Both floors have conference rooms, bathrooms, a kitchen or kitchenette, and the mail room is on the second floor. The basement contains storage areas, along with an employee gym.
